Advanced Patrol K9 Training

Cooperative Canine Concepts offers specialized training for police K9 teams in collaboration with their respective agencies. We focus on using effective, humane, and science-backed methods to train K9 teams for skills such as Advanced obedience, Building/Area searches, Narcotic detection, Evidence recovery, Laser directionals, Apprehension, Grip Development, Trouble shooting problem behaviors etc.

Puppy Courses

Our puppy courses are anything but average! We provide each puppy with the best foundation possible, incorporating socialization strategies, mental enrichment opportunities, confidence building, and environmental exposure. With basic obedience training and conceptual learning introductions, your will thrive, while our cooperative care techniques ensure they're comfortable with everyday grooming tasks like baths and nail trimming. Join us for ourPuppies in the Wild" or "Patio Puppy Foundations" courses, where you and your pup enjoy classes at various dog-friendly establishments.

You may only participate in behavior modification courses AFTER completing our intake assessment. Behavior consults require an intimate understanding of your dog's individual history. The goal of this initial assessment will be to offer insight into your dog's behavior, health, and overall environment/lifestyle. First you'll fill out your intake form, providing us with a detailed history is required in order to ensure the health and safety of your pet while determining the best training/modification plans in order to begin assisting you in reaching your training goals.

We're here to help you learn to better understand and interpret your pet's behaviors, and to shift your focus on what drives them. We will build personalized plans to fit your pet’s needs while providing you with step by step guidance in order to help you achieve your training goals with ease and efficiency. Intake Assessment - The first step

Suitable for dogs exhibiting compulsive, fearful, anxious or aggressive behaviors.

Behavior modification requires an intimate understanding of your dog's individual history in order to identify the cause of their behavior. The goal of this initial assessment is to offer us insight into your dog's behavior, health, and overall environment/lifestyle. First, you'll fill out a detailed form, one of our Certified/Accredited Trainers or affiliates will evaluate your assessment, provide you with feedback, write up a formal evaluation to be forwarded on to your veterinarian, and collaborate with your Vet during the behavior modification process when needed. Your assessment will provide us with a detailed history ensuring the health, and safety of your pet while determining the best training/modification plans in order to begin assisting you in reaching your training goals.

Cooperative Care

Cooperative care courses are designed to help dogs become willing participants in their everyday husbandry and veterinary procedures. Training encompasses essential activities such as nail trimming, grooming, bathing, ear cleaning, vaccinations, X-ray preparation, and blood draws. Originating in zoo settings, cooperative care is gaining traction in the dog training industry, becoming a valuable resource for trainers, groomers and veterinarians alike. By fostering cooperation, these courses enhance the overall experience for both pets and their caregivers.

Canine Coaching

Canine Coaching sessions are private sessions suitable for dogs focusing on basic to advanced obedience, potential service dog candidates (working towards public access & task training) advanced tricks, patio pup skills, assistance with nose work, Cooperative Care, maintaining husbandry skills etc.
Canine Coaching sessions are not suitable for dogs exhibiting fear, anxiety, aggression, or reactivity - please see "Behavior Modification" for further assistance in these areas.

Frequenting different pet-friendly locations such as; retail stores, breweries, coffee shops, parks and hiking trails across the QCA allows us to build necessary skills for real life adventures with your real-life ADVENTURE dog! Take the guesswork out of your training.

Behavioral Foundations
Course

Sessions to be completed in a group setting via ZOOM in order to prepare you for in-person sessions
